MAJORETTE
Majorette is a person who does actions of dance, or movement in a parade drum band performance by using a stick called a baton majorette. Majorette usually played by a woman, but in its development majorette role can also be done by men, usually found in military band drum group. Majorette role initially is the assimilation of the role of cheerleader in appearance adapted in such a way to balance the parade drum band performance dynamics of rigid impression of the role players on the line of musical instruments (including brass instrument players and percussion). A majorette can perform various actions in appearance like a twirling stick, bayonet, flag sticks, or throw a baton. Majorette sometimes also perform a variety of magic attraction, or a particular attraction to attract attention as a combination of play, play-mutarkan, baton and threw up to four simultaneously.
In Indonesia, the role of a group of drum majorette in the band are not just limited to its function as a dancer, majorette more often plays as a leader, a guide line of the form a shape in appearance. Sometimes a majorette can also replace the function of field commanders (in English called Field Commander) at certain moments. Some groups marching band majorette in Indonesia still use as one part in appearance, but in its development where majorette started uninstalled.
